Small Cobalt Blue & Floral Bowl

This is a really cute bowl or small serving dish made by Meissen during the 20th century. A smaller version of the much more common charger sized pieces. The bowl is decorated with that amazing cobalt blue ground color along the rim with a relief design of grape leaves along with their vines and some grapes all highlighted with full gilding that is partially flat and partially shiny. Nicely shaped edge. The center has a nicely hadn painted polychrome floral arrangement to it. The combo of the cobalt blue, the gold and the floral design looks amazing! A really stunning look! The piece is in great condition with two or three spots in the thicker parts of the vines that have blue showing through the gold. It is not wear but looks like they tooled it to much to get it shiny and then parts were regilded and missed those spots. You can see it under the loop. Definitely factory made. Nothing major and it's still a first choice and does not take away from the piece and it looks amazing! The dish is marked underneath with the under glaze blue swords mark as well as the usual impressed and artist's marks, etc. as shown. It is 1.625 inches tall and 8.375 inches in diameter.
